There’s a star in them Mavericks

Quite a while ago now I started rolling my own cigarettes mainly to save some money as the taxes kept rising. But occasionally I would forget to make extras and find myself out and about desiring a cigarette. Maverick’s are presumably a second rate tobacco cigarette since they are typically on sale everywhere I go. Even if they are a decent tobacco, like all cheapo cigarette brands, they are packed much looser and burn a lot faster than other brands of pre-rolled cigarettes.

I would smoke them from time to time when I didn’t feel like paying premium prices for a better cigarette. If it weren’t for how fast they burn they actually taste alright compared to other bargain brands. But then one day in the middle of smoking a Maverick I looked at the end of the filter and made a shocking discovery. There was a star pattern forming.

While non-smokers will probably just be disgusted I laughed out loud. This was awesome. Somehow they had altered the filters to not allow the smoke through the entire filter resulting in the tar and other yucky remnants to form a star pattern in the filter. I showed my friend Jordan and he was equally impressed.

Have a look for yourself.

Who knows what kind of chemical treatment allows this to happen. It is probably far worse than just smoking a cigarette. But hooray for the hip inventiveness factor. Pretty cool. I am a maverick.

We began theorizing that this was some kind of viral marketing campaign and contest. The first person to discover the star would win free Maverick’s for life. And since you are sure to die quickly it wouldn’t even cost the company very much.

So if anybody from the company who makes Maverick cigarettes sees this post, we would love some free cigarettes.
Thanks.
