‘An Island‘ is a 50 minute experimental, musical documentary featuring the Danish band Efterklang. The shooting was done off of an island on the coast of Denmark with hundreds of people collaborating. The movie’s runtime is approximately the length of the album “Magic Chairs” by Efterklang, on which the film is based.
why it’s cool
Vincent Moon and Efterklang want to share their talents and art through the internet– the quickest way to get art to the people, nowadays. With Moon gaining much success and notoriety from his musical internet videos, it is natural for him to release his project in this way.
This innovative way of distributing his film allows for it to be readily seen for FREE all while bringing small and large communities together.
There are only a few showings in San Diego. Get in on the opportunity!

Several years ago we built a theater in our garage, dubbed it the e.g. theater (experimental garage) and
performed the original play “What?“.
Fast forward to a few months ago. My sister says to me, “We should have open mic at the house.” So we did, and in
my mind reviving the spirit of the e.g. theater and all of these crazy projects and craft nights that used to be
so common here. A few days ago our friend Russ asked if we could have a concert here. So we are.
