11 year old speaks about our food supply
Birke Baehr, an 11 year old from Asheville North Carolina, discovered his food didn’t come from farms with happy cows in fields and pigs rolling in the mud. After some research and a lot of support from his family he shares his views on our food supply at a local TEDx event in this talk, “What’s Wrong With Our Food System? And How Can We Make A Difference?”.
I found this video after writing my recent post about La Milpa Organica, attending the monthly potluck at Roots Farms @ Suzies last night, and doing more “eating well / organic food” research. Birke and the TEDx forum represent a lot of hope I have for intelligent discourse around the world in the years to come and continuing to build the type of world I want to live in.
